Tell Congress to lift abortion coverage restrictions

For decades, abortion coverage bans like the Hyde Amendment have cut off access to abortion for those enrolled in Medicaid and other insurance programs. These harmful restrictions disproportionately harm people with low incomes, and particularly communities of color.

No one should be denied an abortion because of where they live, how much money they make, or how they get their health insurance.

Ending these discriminatory barriers to care is a racial and economic justice issue that can’t wait.

That’s why Congress must pass annual spending bills that are free from the Hyde Amendment and related abortion coverage restrictions, as well as the Weldon Amendment, a provision that works alongside Hyde to interfere with abortion coverage and access.

Message your Representative now and tell them to pass annual spending bills without the Hyde amendment and related restrictions.
