We’re in the final stretch before Election Day. Are you ready to get out the vote with the ACLU by calling voters in key states?
You can make an outsized impact on this election by having a simple conversation with a voter while they’re deciding how to vote. One-on-one conversations are the best way we have to motivate potential voters.
Here’s a preview of the issues we’re calling about:
In Michigan, we’re making sure every eligible Michigan voter knows their voting rights in this battleground state. After Proposal 3 passed in 2018, Michiganders have expanded access to the ballot, including early voting and Election Day voter registration.
In Oklahoma, we can end one of the hallmarks of mass incarceration by passing State Question 805 on the ballot. SQ 805 would end extreme sentencing for nonviolent offenses.
In South Carolina, we’re calling voters in Charleston County to make sure they know their sheriff candidates’ positions on issues like ending contracts with ICE and banning no-knock warrants.
In Arizona, voters in Maricopa County will choose their next county attorney. County attorneys hold tremendous power in the criminal justice system, deciding what charges people will face.
Civil rights and liberties are on the line in each of these elections. Make sure voters know how to vote and what issues are at stake by joining our national call team –– sign up for a phonebank shift to start making calls!
