By completing this form, I am joining the ACLU’s People Power volunteer program and agreeing to receive emails, calls, or texts from the ACLU, its state affiliates, and their representatives about ways to take action and support the ACLU organizations. To learn more about how we use your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

From Texas to New York and beyond, communities are working diligently to support people seeking asylum and a better life in the United States. But this story is being lost in the media, with anti-immigrant lawmakers politicizing the arrival of our new neighbors. Lawmakers across the political spectrum have sown confusion about the asylum law and what is needed to ensure a fair and orderly system for people seeking protection at the border, as well as what is needed to support them and the cities and communities they are joining.

Join us on October 12 as we hear from ACLU experts about the situation on the ground -- and how you can make a difference.
