Trump may be gone, but America’s legacy of racism is still with us. Racism is ingrained in the fabric of this country, and has been enforced through policies, practices, and attitudes that harm Black, Indigenous, and people of color.

The ACLU recently launched its Systemic Equality Agenda, a multi-year racial justice agenda, building off our past century of civil rights advocacy and seeking to address America's legacy of racism and systemic discrimination. Together, we can fight for a world in which every person can achieve their highest potential, unhampered by structural and institutional racism. But we know that tackling systemic inequality is no easy feat and we need you to commit to joining us in this fight.

Through the Systemic Equality Action Series, you will learn from influential civil rights leaders, be provided with important context behind key racial justice issues like voting, student debt cancellation and more, and receive training on key organizing tactics you can use to fight systemic racism. Again, you are essential in this fight, we look forward to seeing you soon!

Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodations: The ACLU strives to create inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to fully engage with its programming. This event will include [real time captioning and/or sign language interpretation]. If you would like to request another reasonable accommodation to better participate in this event, please reach out to [email protected]. Notifying us as soon as possible will help to ensure we can provide the accommodation.

The next session will focus on HR 40, which establishes a commission to study and develop proposals around reparations. We will be discussing why passing HR 40 is a necessary step in achieving racial justice, and how you can contribute to the passage of this legislation.

RSVP to receive a reminder for the next session.
